This design started by creating a great room with ample ventilation and light.  The kitchen, dining, and sitting areas all share the open floor plan and take advantage of the natural light, fresh air, and views.  The master suite is tucked on the makai side just next to the living room closely connected to the main functions of the house and the backyard amenities.  The great room covered lanai is comfortably next to the pool and lounge areas and connected to the outdoor barbeque for Kona style indoor/outdoor living.
The guest rooms are situated around the entry courtyard on the mauka side of the great room.  Each guest room is fully equipped with baths, walk in closets, outdoor gardens, & showers.
The Hawaiian meaning of Kaha Ki’i is to draw or plan.  This design is currently on-the-boards and customizable to the owners selections and adjustments.  GT Design and GM Construction are members of the design and construction team for this speculative design.
